It was just a good show

I have been a lifelong fan and to be honest I found the concert good but not excellent. I understand that they want to play their new stuff but die hard fans love the old catalog that made them famous. They didn't even play their biggest hit Silent Lucidity. If you went to an Aerosmith concert wouldn't you expect to hear Dream On? It's not that I don't like the new songs, I just love the old songs that made me a fan. The new stuff, although entertaining, is just not on the same level as most of their classics. A few years ago I saw Geoff Tate play the full albums of Operation Mindcrime and Empire and that blew me away.

Excellent tour package!

What stood out about this show at the Roxian Theater is that Queensryche put a lot of thought forward on giving their fans a unique concert experience. Trauma and Marty Friedman opening brought two very different and distinct music backgrounds to the fold. Trauma was heavy, melodic, classic Bay Area slash metal. I immediately wanted to hear more and started collecting their catalogue. Marty Friedman was a genuine pleasure to see. His band was a superb blend of talented musicians that complemented him. He is the ultimate showman and plays a guitar like a frontman sings for a band. You never stop watching Marty. Queensryche were as always top notch pros. The setlist was excellent. Todd LaTorre channels the bands voice for all of their 40 years flawlessly. This kind of tour package is what I look for. Wall to wall talent. Diverse. Every penny spent is a pleasure. I hope to see much more of this in the future. Thanks to all of the bands on this tour.
